The beaver is back!

Like no other animal the beaver is capable to build its own habitat, to its ows demands..The beaver is considered a key species worthy of protection: where it cuts down its trees and dams water, new habitats are created for plants, birds, fish and insects. After 200 years, the beaver also colonizes the rivers and streams around Hann. Münden again. But how does the pure vegetarian live? Why was he once exterminated? Why do conflicts arise with humans? And what does it need to resettle?

Halloween Walk Laubach

When dusk falls, the forest awakens. On this day there is even something special to see in the forest. Who discovers the forest spirits? Come and join us on a Halloween tour to the “Haunted Castle” on the Zella. Shortly before dawn we will start at the DGH in Laubach (Laubacherstraße 66). The route is about 2.5 km long and leads through fields and forests, along main roads, so it is also suitable for prams. At the end, the “haunted castle” awaits, decorated in Halloween-theme and of course there is a campfire and something to eat and drink.
